eFin Logbook is an electronic trip reporting application designed for private recreational tilefish anglers operating in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, from Virginia northward.

Recreational anglers targeting or catching golden and blueline tilefish in federal waters between Virginia and Maine are mandated to submit electronic trip reports within 24 hours of returning from any trip involving tilefish, regardless of whether any fish were caught or kept. eFin Logbook offers a secure, intuitive platform to facilitate compliance with these reporting obligations. Prior to using the app, users should create a NOAA Fish Online account (see bit.ly link) and obtain a free recreational tilefish permit, which must be associated with the vessel.
